the daft Smeagol from freakyland.

Posted by vash1282 on 5/20/2008 03:47:00 AM in
it's a lesson to be learned. don't sit on yr fat ass too long without exercise, or yr brain will be so full of fat you can't differentiate between korean guys or plain yellow chinese men. Or between fatigue and faulty contact lenses.

barely a whole lap of jogs, half hearted jumparounds and 10 mins into a squasy game, my vision gave out on me. It was the scariest sensation ever. everthing went BLACK. no dizziness, not even that tired, but still it was like some freaky Smeagol emerged from the court's wall and reached into my eyeballs and took out my sight with it's scaly dry fingers, cornea, lenses and all.

the longest 1-2 mins ever before the freaky Smeagol decided to return back my vision and dissapeared back into the walls.

My first reaction was to bin my contact lenses..altho, it prob'ly doesn't have anything to do with it. Second reaction was of course to stop playing, and binge on sushi king. there goes some more fat to my brain.

Geezzzz...it was scary.

Just got back from a 1300++ KM road trip to the North, and it never ceased to amaze me how every time I swore I have had enough of cramping for hours in cars.. I’ll still jump at the chance of another trip. Probably cuz I know the others will never inna million years let me drive and will just lemme be the idiot navigator hehe.

LFV – Lost & Found Virus

On each of the roadtrips, we could never fail to get lost. This time, I didn’t hold the map upside down even once, and we still got freaking lost everywhere! So lost that we desperately ended up at the Juru police station. That kinda set an LFV on everyone’s navigation nose, as Arin managed to get lost inside the Komtar mall and had to be rescued. It’s not really our fault that me, Fizi and Arol immediately got lost in the same mall too an hour after Arin was rescued, it was The Virus. Aji was working overtime rescuing people with LFV, as Arin’s car, full of infected people, missed the Jelapang exit and had to be chased and brought back to meeting point.

Most Infected LFV carrier : Arin

Penang/Kedah/Perlis/Pahang

Managed to realize our long time desire of running around and taking pictures in paddy fields which we didn’t get to do on our last trip. Stopped by someone’s sawah by the roadside, albeit being scared that paddy photography will bring bad luck to everyone’s future relationship hehe (entirely Fik’s fault). Somehow the whole of Perlis is out of electricity by the time we get there, at least it seems to effect Gua Kelam and Padang Besar. We learned there’s Ampang, Kelang and Serdang up north, and make a few ‘learned’ assumptions such as Orang Asli people sells voodoo stuffs on the roadside down the hills of Cameron guarded by trained hunting dogs. Sometimes they’ll use a pair of tattered Converse sneakers (bought bundle) as a coins purse. It’s also normal for them to risk death and crap on the roadsides. The sloping hills with it’s cold air and breathtaking sceneries makes me wish that I lived there. It’s not a bad idea really.. I can cycle to work, wear fancy jackets everyday and if I want entertainment, I can always go and watch the Orang Asli do voodoo. People there worships TM anyway.

It’s a real fun trip with the essential food search, self obsessed photo sessions and Chinese operas.

The trip would have been rated 100% successful if we managed to get to Penang on time to smuggle out pirated DVDs.

Most Favorite Pit Stop : Cameron Highlands

Most Fussy Shopper : Azrol.

Food

The seafood at Kuala Perlis. Seriously beats all others. Ikan jenahak and geruk2 flavoured with the the perfect seasonings, grilled to a crispy finish, pleased our taste buds no ends. We arrived there as a buncha hungry thundering Uruk Hai as we got lost (as usual) on the way to the famous Gerai Lynda, thanx to the direction that Aji got from a stupid penjaga toilet. All is forgiven however, as we sink our teeth into the tender, sweet flesh of dead fishes, squids and crabs. The steamboat at Cameron is too much overrated, reputation-wise and price-wise.

Most Favorite Food Stop : Gerai Lynda, and that scrumptious roti canai place at Tanah Rata

Most Valuable Lesson : Never trust a penjaga toilet with directions or food opinions. Just give em coins.

After

Back to work, to endless phone calls, endless excel SpreadShits, roomful of idiot account executives(well, just one) and to the department’s new tagline-“Managing Perceptions”.

"Looking at the design and piling progress for the foundation, it looks like we are building a hotel. However when the building is ready, we used it for an office. The parking spaces are allocated with hotel residents in mind, where cars come and go. However, since it is now an office, cars are parked there all day. So now we have parking problems too. "

The ITSSO Head's word by word replay. An expected argument, an unusual comment.
On how he viewed the operation team's wish lists for a new, enhanced support system (yeah, another one). To the developers, we ask for the world and underutilized most things they gave. To the operations, the support systems we get were never good enough.

To me, stop making the vendors filthy rich already.

sick of cars again.

We were just innocent civillians looking forward to having dinner some place new.
They were just 'innocent' navigators who were looking forward to bypass the evening traffic, ignoring the Shortest-Path-First algorithm, leading us into a labyrinth of twisted, shady wood trails, paths uncharted in conventional maps. The road trip frm Cyberjaya to Melaka took a record breaking 4 hours. Along the way we learned that people in kampung bunians watched chinese operas for entertainment. We were all dried up hungry dugongs rolling about in the backseat by the time we get there. Inachan was right, hail the PLUS highway, hail Samy!
guess I'm not the world's worst navigator after all (;^_^)

Decided to go back to johor and make the lifes of my bratty bros a bit more miserable.
and since I'm sick of cars, I let my sis take the wheels. I learned that my sis can drive a roller coaster. After the first hour of occasional screamings, I decided that I can't stomach the hair raising near death experience of incompetence driving, prayed for miracle and slept through all the way.

Home's as chaotic as expected. The bros are a lot less brattier tho, the splitted butt incident seems to have mellowed their spirit. Mom's still thinking that men grows on trees, and all the men on the trees are perfect with no pretty-nail guys, liars, wife beaters or gays. So she's taken a personal offense that her daughters are still single, and I seem to be provoking an upcoming outburst of a storm. Probably not too early to plan my getaway now.. =P

Went to see 'lil irene..**cute! ahjon-san & dali-san, congrats & best of luck wif the kid ne..(^_^)

Another long drive tmorrow...

Death by Blogging

Posted by vash1282 on 4/08/2008 02:13:00 AM in
Stress of Blogging can kill you. I plead, not guilty. All rise : Released on Bail.

Seriously. People died. Toiling on the computer, squeezing out the brain juices needed to put thoughts into words into webs probably need humongous amount of brain power, (if u r just mumbling nonsensical nonsense on yr blog like me and still died, man... yr brain muscle badly need exercise). The same people who died trying to blog will probably get auto-self-electrocuted by their own neutrons if you ask them to put their thoughts into action.Pure Stress.

Quote from NewYork Times "Other bloggers complain of weight loss or gain, sleep disorders, exhaustion "....Suddenly blogging's a new diet technique. (cue, inachan!)

I might not have to wring my neck trying to focus on my ABCs, but I am guilty of stressing myself out on other stuffs. Although I might not drop dead on the office carpet due to stress, drooling blood and puking intestines (not just yet) , I was ready to get a shot gun and make other people drool blood instead.

The one week work trip on the east coast was like a stress medicine sent from heaven.
An escape from the usual pattern. Breathtaking sceneries, the food, the people, the food, the sheer fun of hearing mixed syllables and distorted words. Don't even mind being cramped inside the car for 3 days. Tapai and Kak Aishah were fun companions. Of course, if I were asked to stay for, say, another month I might start to have the urge to shoot people again =P.

you know i've been reading that stress is the new age disease and everything, but really, blogging kills? If those guys didn't die during blogging, they'd probably die playing video games, or died watching Akademi Fantasia. (Geez, I tried. 100% accelerated brain power required to digest the pure pointlessness of the entire production).

It's back to work... and it's killing me to stay here, staring at the long list of pending items
(bling*lazy-ass-idiot mode*bling*) ..with my shot gun and imaginary little practice target people all tucked inside my drawers.
Already can't wait for weekends.

ladies and gentleman, for your info;
another main function of our group is to perform proactive monitoring on our backbone networks, inclusive of our regional submarine technologies. Apart from that, on a smaller scale, we also performed proactive monitoring on selected managed leased circuits, for broadbands and critical, prioritized sites.

untuk pengetahuan lebih lanjut tuan puan dan puan puan, organisasi kami juga mejalankan kegiatan memantau secara proaktif bagi rangkaian tulang belakang network kami....
network, is that right?...jaringan kerja? %$#@#!

i managed to mangle an entirely sensible sentence to nearly meant police monitoring black market organ selling activites.

i stayed back in the hope of preparing the text for tomorrow's visit by MINDEF. i never prepared texts as i was usually expected to just sell the department's functions and brag about the biggest screen display in Asia and believe me, sellout is easy cuz people never really expect you to be entirely truthful in selling out yourself, or in this case your department.
i stayed back cuz i was instructed to present in our native tounge, bahasa Melayu. so I have to have some sensible concoction of scripted monologue. Seriously, sellout comes a hundred times more easier in English, hence the Ugly Americans.
no offense really, i used BM 70% of the time.. but that was for gossip and dissing people and for gossip. trying to squeeze in a bit of technology in gossip ..well, that will give you pantauan tulang belakang.

MINDEF? The Defense Minister a.k.a Deputy PM...the 6.75bil naval vessel mess and the public outcry.. Panggilan Latihan Khidmat Negara..my cousin's husband... only those comes to mind.

And I'm still at lost for words. this is a freaking desperate cry for help.

it's the journey

Posted by vash1282 on 3/17/2008 01:04:00 PM
it's that freakish time of the year where ev'ry Ina,Enal and Harry wants to tie the knot. probably more than 2/3 of the population are made of teachers and students, it should explain why ev'one wants to get married during school hols. Either that, or food prices will most obligingly drop during these times. Other than that, it just beats me why, i mean, it's not that people invite kids to the ceremony, they'll kill it! So why'd people wanna set their weddings on the dates that the gates of hell opens letting out bratty devils in droves?

Married people probably have their own Barisan clubs to concoct up this kinda stupid conspiracies.

Last week ws totally exhausting.haven't really recover from our journey to east, immediately afterwards spent 3 days driving back and forth from KL to Malacca in ungodly hours, and then another road trip to the north. I personally think that driving is as appealing as a set of moldy 20-days old bread, so I'm really fine if I don't set foot inside any cars for the rest of my life after this. When i said the rest of my life, it kinda pathetically refers to that 5 hours break before driving back to work. Suddenly IT's freaking MONDay!!

like they all say... it's not the destination that matters, it's the journey. But still, maybe next time we should try flights..

still axing...

Posted by vash1282 on 1/29/2008 09:22:00 AM in
It's that dream again. it's so eery to have it over and over, but I'm also kinda happy to see it again. In a way. Gooey and all. Hi axe.

not a big believer in dreams..but since i am bored to death and have nothing better to do with my time.. i surfed around, and Hola!

at TenThousandDreamsInterpreted..it says...

Axe- Seeing an axe in a dream, foretells that what enjoyment you may have will depend on your struggles and energy. To see others using an axe, foretells, your friends will be energetic and lively, making existence a pleasure when near them. For a young woman to see one, portends her lover will be worthy, but not possessed with much wealth. A broken or rusty axe, indicates illness and loss of money and property.

oh shooot i'm a young woman.err..what lover?haha. Next!

at Dream-Land..it says
Axe, axes - The axe in a dream may appear as a weapon or a tool. But at all times, it is a symbol of battle or fight. In dreams it may symbolize quarrels with people in your environment, and if you are the one who is using the axe, your role in this arguments is the major one. If you are the wood: the separation from your love partner is about to happen. Picking up an axe is a sign of bad luck, terror and conflict. An axe-dream often means that your authority is only a show, and is not based on the strength of your character. If you see someone else working with an axe, it means that you are suffering, because of the inconsiderate actions of others.

I am an authorized...let's see.. authorized....couch potato?

Owh owh Get this. Vegetables equals shoppaholic. aaaahh... (^o^)

Cabbage -It is bad to dream of cabbage. Disorders may run riot in all forms. To dream of seeing cabbage green, means unfaithfulness in love and infidelity in wedlock. To cut heads of cabbage, denotes that you are tightening the cords of calamity around you by lavish expenditure.

So axe and cabbage will mean running around amok after a cheating s.o.b. I wish none of my friends the dream of cabbage, rotting or not. =)

i want that axe

Posted by vash1282 on 1/27/2008 06:18:00 AM in
There's this korean series,TheLegend of the four Gods, that has been hooking me for a few weeks already, and is the main reason of the weekly migraine. It features that snivelling colgate ad BaeYongJun, one might recall him from the red nosed crying wuss in Winter Sonata.

Well, he plays God in this series, one whose sparkling, glowing set of teeth managed to melt down all of the countries crisis, wars and power crazy geezers. Full of conquering strategies that can put the gay Spartans in 300 to shame, lovestruck women, flashing thunders of all colors and light sabers.

And then there's this powerful axe, wielded by a mountain blacksmith sporting a trojan-like hair style, amidst a few missing bristles. It's a double bladed axe that oozed the smell of fresh blood to anyone who cared enough to smell, cuts through the air with a killer sound and cuts through huge tree stumps like knife to pudding.
well... this axe has been in my dreams for 3 days straight now, dripping with some gooey black stuff.

i need a dream translator. in dream language, what does an axe symbolizes?

-If I'm japanese (i said, IF).. from the word 'cut' or kiri, i might have conclude it to mean I'm losing my job. but since i'm working under the steel clutch of a GLC, there's probably no such luck. Work is such an ass nowadays anyway, I might just cut myself away.
oh shoot. I'm not japanese.

- It might also means I need to kill someone. that makes sense, but that'll also only leave half of the world population breathing. I will probably start with JohnGrisham. Him and his lumpy excuse of baseball stories and writer's block.

-It might also mean a warning to the human population, stop cutting trees! global warming and all. Read online newspapers and ebooks and pirated comic scanlations you paperloving idiots. anyone else have an Axe dream? we gotta get toghether and form a green team, as uniforms we can cosplay from The Law of Ueki.

-It can also mean the heavy blackness of the future(that dripping black gooey, geddit?) with the current US recession scare, market watch is like treading a carpet of sharp needles. The PM keep saying we won't get affected, yet the klse is playing yoyo with ev'one's sanity. Cut or hold?

Or it might just means a craving for a Venti helping of black coffee.

.... i want that dripping axe.

hammering

Posted by vash1282 on 1/15/2008 09:31:00 AM in
I have these stupid banging inside my head lately. And it never really stops.
Ever had those mind numbing headaches where it felt like a hundred little peoples are knocking on yr skull with a Hagrid sized hammer? For me the hammer just got larger every freaking day.

There was this meeting this morn, a foreigner was lamenting on how slow Malaysian (read, the company) is delivering newly provisioned leased circuits to them and was lumping
every Tom, Dick and Salleh of the country into one lowest-of-the-earth-scums category, and I was just minding my own business tapping away on the laptop, updating my reports..and by reports, i mean Facebook.. when the hammer struck big time. And i saw stars. Literally. Really. Little bright spots just lights up in my eyes for seconds beforeI saw the fat bitching foreigner's face again. I think he mistook my grimace and crunched face as a sign of a greater bitching session about to start, and abruptly stops singing his muddy tune.

So I scared bitchman and saved the day. But the hammering, it's just plain annoying! Wish I could grab those hammy little people and wring their necks and intestines and shred them alive. Maybe I should stop the coffees and sleep at midnite like everyone else.

shoot.it hurts. i'm gonna go sleep under my desk. actually missed doing it thaha.

went to the family gath of sorts with a heavy chain around my neck, walking as though being lead to a death chamber. my parents cheated by sending us as food tasters, the ones to be slain should the food turned out deathly. and by food i mean aunties.
it turned out pretty decent tho, it's either cuz we are used to scrutinies and the scrutiners, or because Genting was just a fun place. probably is the later. i'm just glad me n mysis managed to get home in one piece.

hvn't really realised that it's already new year, well, i kinda don't wanna realise it, really. new years will always come too soon, too early, and i'm just forever not ready. crossed a buncha resolutions from last year's list, altho most of the things crossed are just the must-buy-items. (;;^_^)

u know what? i think the reason that I have not woken up is probably cuz we couldn't find that white coffee on new year's eve. not even after walking through half of Ipoh town, attacking all shops that are still operating after midnite.. yeah, it's all Aji's fault.
new year's resolution? nah.. i'm still snugg in last year.

Before the new year emerges,
see how much u r worth on the 2007 hantaran calculator.

this ridzwan guy, whoever it is, breaks down the worth of person based on, basically,

1. age : understandable, he take down $1,000 the higher yr age category is
(yeah, mom, i get it)

2. moolah : apparently, unless you make more than $3k per month, it doesn't matter, no changes in yr total worth. Wrong! Mr ridzwan.. unless u r marrying a plastic high maintenance bloodsucker, and by that i mean stripper.. it should be the job description that matters, not the job pays. i mean c'mon, given a choice btw a teacher, a housewive, a phone answering operator and a CEO, who would you rather marry? half of the typical malay will go for teachers and the rest for housewives.

3. looks : plus $1000 if you are a heavenly beauty sent by god to awe men. no changes otherwise, minus $1000 for creepiness. Don't bother to tick the weight section, it doesn't matter if you are aneroxic or obese. or have fat cheeks. (heyyyy! says who mister, size does matters!)

4. cooking prowess : yeah.. i got deducted $500 for admitting kitchen and me equals famine. (Who the hell is Hajah Maimunah??) see, another prove that the test should include job description. A Cook is prob'ly worth millions. That will make Chef Wan the most eligible bride.
If he isn't rated that already.

The other categories includes Quran proficiency and religious awareness level, by which the highest level will give you an additional $500.

So according to this test, Britney Spears should have a hantaran of $6500 and Buku Hijau (just an annoying lady at work) is worth $9000, (god i miss the green book). So according to this mister... a Malay girl's worth, assuming she has perfect looks and weight, a monthly income of more than $3k, holding a Masters Degree with top marks religious-wise and cooks like Hjh Maimunah, will get a full mark of $13k.
Wondered what needs to be taken into account to come up with pretty numbers like 7777.77 or 99999 ...good nails can be worth 77 cent..maybe.

My profession is currently vampire-ing on facebook. rate that.

getting down with a flu , add that to a pre-existing condition of critical lazy-bug virus that's been manifesting itself on me for nearly a year- yeah, i wasn't born lazy, just erm, laidback? Haha , it's making me obsessively wanting to read a comic book while hanging upside down from some 30storeys high building. My current apartment’s 3 storey up.. that’ll do for a trial run.

As usual.. was surfing for some cool gadgets to dream about having, and I came across the ‘nausea inducing flashflight’, researched by the US Dept of Homeland Security. Designed to help riot police. Quoting MedGadget “because nothing else the gov does makes the people ill enough” (^_^)

Just imagine.. at the next peace walk or demo (heard the soonest one is tomorrow).. if the gov’s FRU are CSI-like in terms of catching up on the new techs, the crowd might just be a retching nightmare, and tear gas will be a moot point. And the FRUs will probably have human right groups smarming up their asses faster than you can say the word ‘demo’.
Read it at the Technology Review.
Come to think of it, dieting will be a moot point too, I know sticking down yr finger down the throat can do the job, but it'll be so much fun doing it with a cool gadget won't it?

What’s been happening since September?

Posted by vash1282 on 12/09/2007 09:11:00 AM in
Well, not much. Mostly everything is about food, things has cooled off a bit since Open Houses validity date have expired, and am currently only excited about trying out ev’thing new at Dominoes. Other pizza place in Malaysia should come to their senses, slash open their own stomachs and bow out of business. Pizza Hut should bring it’s pathetic excuse of a lunch promo to hell and never come back for bringing a horrible taste to an otherwise meager, below-average standard fast food.

Being that passionate about my flavor of the month, the same can’t be said for the latest installment of Times. Having previously only published extremely generalized version of the Asean country’s plight, it’s our country’s turn this month. Probably following the 2 most recent, most publicized demonstration in the country, it summarized Malaysia’s 50 years of independence with two word, Identity Crisis.

The article starts with the highly riveting sentence “Revathi Masoosai should be the perfect embodiment of Malaysia”.

And, this, the writer explained, is because the father’s a Christian and married a Hindu, and both later converted to Islam, whose daughter later, fell in love with another Hindu, and would, therefore like to convert back to Hinduism, but whose application was rejected by the Sharia’ court and of course she couldn’t care less and married the Hindu anyway but the parents stayed Muslim.

Does this mirror a majority of the country’s population? Extreme generalization. If indecisiveness can be counted as a key factor in crowning a person ‘the perfect embodiment’ of a country, I hereby nominate Michael Jackson as the perfect embodiment of the Earth.

The article went downhill from there including a ridiculous pic seemingly taken by a camera phone in a boring LRT ride, still an interesting read though.. the way the writer skates over any mention of street demonstration but still insinuates an unrest..but for someone highly paid, and for an established print name at that, the editor should do a hakkiri too, slashed open their guts and bow to Malaysia Kini and suffer the same fate I bestowed to Pizza Hut.

it was rather interesting that the chinese tested that foggy mineral water on their chicken, the very thing that could have saved them from hunger.. or a blessing on a day when the wive is desperately craving for poultry to eat..and what if they ran out of money and the only thing that could be sold in that household is chicken? Unless they are thinking to sell their daughter. i mean, c'mon, testing it on someone you hate makes a lot more sense. Court will never be able to indict you of murder, you can always blame the manufacturing company in China, and then sue them for malpractice, embarrassment and emotional distress; negligence and whatever else that could be acclaimed for. Then you get the money, and you get away with murder. I'd like to try that on that interfering senile granpa ev'rybody in this building seems to hate.. if the attempt failed and he lived, I can just say; shucks people,I just like to be nice to old folks..

That said.. don't drink anything made in China (even if that probably leaves the only drinkable water in the world to be tap water)
